The World's Best Bars 2026: The 50 Best Bars Ranking

The 50 Best Bars ranking annually highlights the establishments that shape global cocktail culture. The 2026 results were announced at a ceremony in Milan. The organizers had already revealed the rankings from 51st to 100th back in September.

The World’s Best Bar of 2026 According to 50 Best Bars

Bar Leone in Hong Kong was named the world’s best bar of 2026. The venue has held the top spot in the 50 Best Bars ranking for the second year in a row. Second place went to Moebius Milano in Milan, and third to Alquímico in Cartagena, Colombia. The top five also included Bar Us in Bangkok and Line in Athens.
Moebius Milano showed the most significant improvement among the leaders: a year ago, the bar was ranked 7th. Alquímico was the highest-ranked establishment outside of Europe and Asia.

The World’s Top 10 Bars of 2026: Descriptions and Profiles

The top 10 bars in the world for 2026 include establishments from nine cities across four continents. Mexico City has the most representatives in the top 10: Handshake Speakeasy took 6th place, and Bar Mauro took 10th. The remaining spots are held by bars in Hong Kong, Milan, Cartagena, Bangkok, Athens, Seoul, London, and Lima.

1. Bar Leone, Hong Kong

Bar Leone was opened in 2023 by Italian bartender Lorenzo Antinori. The concept is rooted in the traditions of a Roman neighborhood bar, transplanted to Hong Kong.

The menu focuses on classic Italian aperitifs and simple, precisely crafted cocktails, and the atmosphere is relaxed. In just a few years, the bar has become one of the city’s most famous spots.

2. Moebius Milano, Milan

The team works with Colombian ingredients and traditional techniques, drawing inspiration for their drinks from the country’s landscapes. The menu is updated according to local seasons.

4. Bar Us, Bangkok

Cities with the Most Bars in the 2026 Ranking

Paris, Hong Kong, and New York have the most bars in the 2026 ranking—four each. For the first time, Paris has surpassed London in terms of the number of bars represented among European cities. The Parisian bars that made the list are The Cambridge Public House (13th place), Bar Nouveau (15th), De Vie (23rd), and Danico (26th).

Four cities each have three bars in the 2026 ranking:

• London: Connaught Bar (8), Satan’s Whiskers (29), Waltz (32);
• Athens: Line (5), The Bar in Front of the Bar (19), Barro Negro (40). The bar in 19th place climbed 28 spots and received the Nikka Highest Climber Award;
• Bangkok: Bar Us (4), Dry Wave Cocktail Studio (27), BKK Social Club (30);
• Mexico City: Handshake Speakeasy (6), Bar Mauro (10), Tlecán (47).

Europe’s Best Bars of 2026: Countries and Awards

Europe has 18 bars in the 2026 ranking, more than any other continent. Moebius Milano achieved the highest ranking among European establishments, coming in at No. 2, followed by Athens’ Line at No. 5. Italy is also represented in the top 50 by Locale Firenze from Florence (33rd place), while Spain is represented by Barcelona’s Sips (16th) and Paradiso (17th), as well as Madrid’s Angelita (50th).

Another 18 European bars made it onto the extended list of positions 51–100, meaning Europe accounts for more than a third of the entire top 100. Paradiso received the Rémy Martin Legend of the List Award. Bars in Oslo (Himkok, 24th place), Bratislava (Mirror Bar, 34th), and Tirana (Nouvelle Vague, 43rd) also made it into the top 50.
