A student visa is granted to foreign citizens traveling to Bolivia for the purpose of conducting academic or student activities.
Student visa: issued for sixty (60) calendar days, for the purpose of studying at primary, secondary levels and in higher educational institutions for professional training, it allows you to arrange a temporary stay of a student for up to three years with the possibility of renewal for a period of up to three years until the end of training in the main migration department;
- Exchange student visa under a state agreement: issued for one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days, for the purpose of studying under state academic agreements, is free of charge and allows a student to temporarily stay in the main migration department for the same period;
- Exchange student visa without a state agreement: it is granted for a period of up to eighty (180) calendar days for the purpose of studying under academic agreements between public or private universities or other educational centers with similar ones abroad and allows you to arrange a temporary stay of a student for the same period before the General Directorate of migration.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Fill out the visa application form
- The validity period of an international passport isn’t less than 6 months
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate and / or other medical certificate, if available;
- Passport-sized photo
- Pay the cost of 50.00 dollar
- A document that accredits the latest level of training conducted at the College, Institute or University of the country where it was submitted, legalized by the relevant consular office;
- The original letter of acceptance or a legalized photocopy issued by the higher educational institution of destination. Applicable for obtaining a student visa with a public or private agreement or agreement;
- A legalized copy of the inter-institutional agreement or agreement, if the type of student exchange is established. It is used for obtaining a student visa under a private agreement or agreement;
- A valid certificate confirming the absence of a criminal record and/or police record issued by the Competent Authority of the country of origin or his last place of residence in accordance with the applicable rules.
Requirements for students to stay under the contract for 60 days:
- Uniform.
- Valid passport.
- Photocopies of your passport, last stamp, visa, or membership page.
- A legalized copy of the University, Institute or college certificate, respectively, indicating the usual position or approval for training.
- 4x4 photo.
Students who are not covered by the agreement add:
- A document confirming your ability to pay.
Requirements for temporary residence of students with a 1-year contract:
- Form
- Valid passport.
- A photocopy of the passport, the last entry stamp and a consular student visa.
- Certificate of study from a university, institute or college.
- Certificate issued by the Special Police Unit Crime Control, FELCC (over 16 years old).
- Home Registration issued by special forces against crime, FELCC.
- Certificate issued by Interpol (older than 16 years).
- Medical certificate issued by the National Institutes of Health INSO.
- A certified photocopy of the title, certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia, in case of appropriate specialization.
- A certificate of economic solvency and/or its documentation provided by parents, guardians, relatives or a scholarship approved by the Consulate of your country.
