The following foreigners and their family members who intend to spend their lives in Nepal can obtain a residence visa:
- People with an international reputation,
- Individuals capable of making outstanding contributions to Nepal's economic, social and cultural development,
- A person who has invested at least one hundred thousand US dollars or the equivalent in convertible foreign currency immediately in an industrial enterprise in Nepal.
- Any foreigner who intends to spend his life in Nepal without doing business.
What documents are needed for:
Foreigners who want to live in Nepal without doing business.
- Confirmation of making an online application;
- Bank statement about the availability of funds (20,000 dollars USA);
- Certificate of regular income of at least 20,000 dollars USA per year;
- Certificate with your characteristic;
- A letter of no objections from the embassy of the relevant country;
- Health certificate issued by TU Teaching Hospital;
- Proof of reaching the age of 60 (or) proof of retirement;
- A copy of a valid passport and a recent Nepalese visa;
- To continue - an expense report of 20,000 dollars USA.
For individuals and their families who invest at least 100 thousand US dollars or other equivalent currency in the industrial business of Nepal.
- Confirmation of making an online application;
- A copy of the company's registration certificate;
- The copy of the PAN / VAT certificate;
- Copy of the share certificate;
- A copy of the industry registration certificate;
- Recommendation from the Department of industry or trade;
- A copy of your passport and recent Nepalese visa;

You can only become a Nepalese citizen by:
- by birthright;

- by naturalization.
