An trip to Pakistan for business purposes.

Such a visa is issued to foreigners to facilitate investment in the country. The Government of Pakistan provides 5-year multiple-entry business visas to businessmen from countries listed in the following categories:

• Countries from the list of business visas.
• Countries from the list of non-business visas.

Important! Citizens of the listed countries have the right to apply for this visa.

Business visa for Chinese citizens (CPEC)

Chinese citizens whose business is related to CPEC projects and meets the requirements are eligible to apply for this visa.

Both of these options have the same rules and a list of required documents!

You can apply for two types of visas online:

1. First time (new): you can apply for a new visa if you do not have a valid Pakistani visa.
2. The extension: you can apply for a visa extension if you have a valid Pakistani visa and reside in Pakistan.

Required documents:

• Photo;
• Passport;
• The confirmation of registration of the company who are sending the invitation (SECP/Chamber of Commerce certificate);
• Any of the following:
• A letter of recommendation from CC&I of the relevant foreign country;
• Invitation letter from the business organization E-BIL;
• A letter of recommendation from honorary investment advisor BOI /commercial attache.

Important! You must download proof of legal residence if you are not in your own country and are applying for a visa from a third country, this is a mandatory requirement! In case of visa renewal – please download the proof of a valid Pakistani visa, and your passport must also have a visa stamp.

Visa validity period:

• A business visa can be issued for up to 5 years.
• The business visa is valid for multiple entry to Pakistan.
• In case of renewal, please make sure that you have a valid Pakistani visa and also reside in Pakistan.

  A work visa is divided into 4 types depending on the purpose:
  1. Travelling to Pakistan for employment purposes
  Foreign citizens who have a valid job offer and meet the requirements are eligible to apply for this visa.

  Required documents:
  • Passport;
  • Photo;
  • Letter of registration of the SECP company;
  • Letter of recommendation from BOI (in case of extension required);
  • Sponsor's contact details;
  • Obligations on the company's letterhead/in the case of a project approved by the CPEC / government, a letter from the relevant department/ministry;
  • Applicant's CV;
  • Cover letter on company letterhead;
  • Company profile;
  • Employment contract;
  • FBR NTN company certificate.
  
  
  Duration and validity period:
  • An entry work visa can be granted for up to 3 months (one-time entry).
  • An extended work visa can be granted for up to 2 years (multiple entry).
  
  
  2. Visa to work on the CPEC projects
  Chinese citizens who have a valid job offer in CPEC projects and meet the requirements are eligible to apply for this visa.

  Required documents:
  • Passport;
  • Photo;
  • Letter of registration of the SECP company;
  • Sponsor's contact details;
  • Commitment on company letterhead/in the case of a project approved by the CPEC / government, a letter from the relevant department/ministry;
  • Applicant's CV;
  • Cover letter on company letterhead;
  • Company profile;
  • Employment contract;
  • The certificate FBR NTN company;
  • Letter of recommendation from BOI (in case of extension required).
  
  
  Duration and validity period:
  • An entry work visa can be granted for up to 2 years (single/multiple entry).
  • An extended work visa can be granted for up to 2 years (single/multiple entry).
  
  
  3. Travelling to Pakistan as a journalist
  All journalists have the right to submit an application, subject to approval. A response is required from the press attache and communications offices of the relevant media outlets.
  
  
  Required documents:
  • Photo;
  • Passport;
  • The letter from a media agency/organization;
  • Recommendation of the Ministry of information and Broadcasting/Press Attache/Pak mission abroad.
  
  
  Duration and validity period:
  • For accredited and Pakistani media outlets, the visa is valid for the entire period of stay, subject to approval.
  • For journalists who do not live in Pakistan, the visa is valid for 3 months or more and is subject to approval.
  
  
  4. Travelling to Pakistan as a home assistant
  Domestic workers who wish to work and live in Pakistan with the support of their employers can apply for this visa.
  
  
  Required documents:
  • Photo;
  • Passport;
  • Employer's contact details;
  • A copy of the agreement duly certified by the relevant authority;
  • NOC of the relevant embassy.
  
  
  Duration and validity period:
  • A home assistant visa can be granted for 1 year.
  • The internal assistant visa can be extended for 1 year plus double entry.
