From October 1, 2025, the Czech Republic has tightened requirements for foreign workers, in particular, from now on, employers in the Czech Republic must submit a notice of the start of work of a foreign employee in advance - no later than one day before the first working day. Previously, such information could be provided on the day of starting work.

3. Retention of evidence
The employer is obliged to retain the evidence of the notification, as it may be necessary for inspections.
4. Notification of changes or termination of employment
In the event of a change in the terms of employment or termination of employment, the employer must notify the Employment Office:
No later than 10 days after the change or termination of employment.
5. Liability for violations
Failure to comply with the requirements for prior notification of the employment of a foreign employee may result in a fine of up to CZK 3,000,000.
